Man Reportedly Tasered At LAX After Pushing Past Security

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officers reportedly Tasered a man at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday after he pushed his way past the security screening area.

Authorities responded to Terminal 6 shortly after 11 a.m. after Transportation Security Administration reported a man was not cooperating with their officers in the screening area.

Upon their arrival, airport police say they attempted to assist the TSA agents to get the man to comply with their orders but he shoved officers out of the way.

Police then followed the man to Gate 66.

"As he was being taken into custody, a use of force occurred involving a Taser," Sgt. Belinda Joseph said.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital for medical treatment.
