The LAPD confirmed there was evidence of a break-in at the adjacent vacant apartment, and authorities believe it could be related.

Neighbors identified the victim as a resident named Manny. Neighbors added that they have complained to the building management about people getting onto their roof. One of the residents said the suspect used a skylight in the vacant apartment and jumped to a balcony outside Manny's home.

On Wednesday, detectives released the photo of a possible suspect accused of breaking into the 53-year-old's apartment.
