Man Captured On Surveillance Video Wanted For Malibu Burglary

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked the public's help Friday in identifying a man they say burglarized a Malibu home with a female accomplice.

The burglary happened Oct. 20 between 3 and 4 a.m. in the 3900 block of Las Flores Canyon Road, Heather Fuquay of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said.

Surveillance video captured a man entering the storage closets in the parking garage area of the property, and taking a can of spray paint from one storage room and using it to spray the surveillance camera lens.

He was accompanied by a female suspect, but there were no surveillance images available of her.

The pair stole a blue Howsen air compressor, a red/silver hand saw, a nail gun and a tile saw, and left the area in a dark SUV, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity can call Los Angeles County sheriff's Detective Armstrong at (818) 878-5539.
