Man Believed To Be From Newbury Park Dies While Skiing In Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in northern Arizona are investigating the death of a California man who was skiing at the Arizona Snowbowl.

Coconino County Sheriff's officials say the 46-year-old man died Sunday.

His name hasn't been released yet, but authorities believe he is from Newbury Park.

Sheriff's officials say the man was skiing with several friends when he experienced some type of medical episode and fell to the snow.

Emergency medical personnel from the Snowbowl began CPR, and the man was taken by ambulance to a Flagstaff hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The body has been transported to the county Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
