Armed Felon Arrested After Nine Hour Standoff with Authorities In Downtown LA

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Los Angeles Police Department officers were at the scene of a man who has barricaded himself at an undisclosed location in Downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon.

The site of the barricade was located on the 200 block of Main Street. An LAPD report disclosed that the standoff began at 6:40 a.m.

Officers were working to coax the suspect from his location.

The man, wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm, finally surrendered to their attempts at around 3:45 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
