Man Barricaded At Rialto Home Surrenders To Police

RIALTO (CBSLA.com) — A Rialto man has surrendered following a standoff at his home, authorities said Friday.

Police responded to a call around 8 a.m. about a man who told officers he accidentally shot himself in the knee at Terra Vista and Live Oak, officials said.

The unidentified suspect reportedly told officers he had several registered, high-powered rifles and handguns. His wife was also reportedly inside the home.

The suspect surrendered to police around 11:30 a.m.

Nearby Fitzgerald Elementary was placed on lockdown and students were moved to another school.
