Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Shoving Rider Off Motorcycle In Lancaster

LANCASTER (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff's officials say a man was arrested after shoving a rider from a motorcycle, jumping on the bike and then crashing it in Lancaster.

Deputy Joshua Stamsek says a private security guard detained the suspect following the crash early Monday.

Stamsek says arriving deputies found the man to be in possession of PCP. He was briefly hospitalized before being taken into custody on suspicion of carjacking. He was held on $100,000 bail.

Officials say the man was identified as 54-year-old Raleigh Wall of Lancaster after he first give a false name. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.

The motorcyclist was not injured.
