West Covina Man Arrested In Connection With Father's Fatal Stabbing

WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com) — A 20-year-old West Covina man was arrested in connection with the killing of his father early Sunday morning, the West Covina Police Department said.

Shortly before 4 a.m., police received a call that a stabbing had occurred on the 900 block of Las Rosas Drive. Police arrived to the scene and found a male victim on the floor of a residence with a stab wound. The officer tried to revive the victim with CPR but was unsuccessful. West Covina firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Joey Alfred Jimenez, 49.

The victim's son, Maverick Jacob Jimenez, was at the scene and was arrested in connection with the stabbing.
