Man Arrested In Burbank Murder Investigation Released As New Suspect Arrested

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Burbank police on Tuesday announced they have released the man they arrested Monday in connection with a murder. Police said they have arrested a new suspect.

Police on Monday arrested 49-year-old Brian Thomas Lowe after a woman was found dead in his home on the 1900 block of Richard Street on Sunday night. The Burbank Police Department held a news conference to announce the arrest.

Lowe's mother, meanwhile, vehemently defended her son, saying police had the wrong person.

Lowe was released after providing police with information that convinced them he was not involved in the crime.

Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Burbank police arrested Timothy Aguilar Andrade, 28, of Hesperia. Police believe he acted alone in the killing. Andrade provided investigators with information that led them to what is believed to be the knife used in the killing, police said.

The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending family notification.
