VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) —  Officials are trying to bring a man into custody who was on the roof of a Van Nuys business allegedly holding a weapon, possibly a rifle.

The business -- Gintani, an automotive company -- is located in the 14200 block of Oxnard at Hazeltine.

The man was spotted on the ledge late Wednesday evening.

Unconfirmed reports say he may have been armed with a weapon, or two, said Stu Mundel reporting in Sky 2.

Police shut down nearby streets as a precaution.

As of 11:30 p.m, the man was still holding police at bay.
