Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Roommate, Another Of Altering Crime Scene

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Northridge accuse two men in the fatal stabbing of a third roommate.

The victim has been identified as Adrian Anthony Ortiz, 19.

Police said they responded on Thursday around 12:50 p.m. to a residence in the 18000 block of Roscoe Boulevard in Northridge for a possible murder-investigation call.

Arriving officers said they found Ortiz in a bathtub unconscious, not breathing and suffering from puncture wounds.

LA City Fire Department paramedics were called and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities said one of Ortiz' roommates stabbed him multiple times. They are accusing an additional roommate with helping the murder suspect assist in altering the crime scene making him an accessory after the fact.

Officials identified Lopez Ochoa, 20, as the murder suspect. Johnny Hernandez, 26, was also arrested as the alleged accessory.

No motive was given for the murder.
