Man, 68, Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Daughter-In-Law In Arcadia

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — A 68-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly fatally stabbing his daughter-in-law in Arcadia, police said.

Li Zhu was booked at the Arcadia jail on suspicion of murder in connection to the death of 41-year-old Xiaolin Li. His bail is set at $1 million.

Officers responded to a report of a "female not breathing" shortly before 8:30 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Arcadia Avenue.

Li was discovered suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to Arcadia police Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo.

The victim was later pronounced dead at a hospital in Pasadena.

Authorities said the suspect lived in the apartment with Li and other family members, and the motive of the crime "appears to be related to an ongoing dispute within the family."
