Man, 35, Fatally Stabbed In Monterey Park

MONTEREY PARK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Wednesday were investigating the stabbing death of a man in Monterey Park.

Police received a call at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday about a stabbing in the 1700 block of Potrero Grande Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 35-year-old Hispanic man "lying in the parking lot of a business complex, suffering from a stab wound," Dept. Tina Schrader said.

The unidentified victim was transported, with wounds to his upper torso, to a local hospital where he died.

No suspect information was released.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was assisting the Monterey Park Police Department in the investigation.
