Man, 24, Pleads Not Guilty To Metro Bus Screwdriver Attacks

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to attacking eight people on Los Angeles County transit buses.

Hector Resendez, 24, entered pleas Tuesday to 13 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, battery and attempted murder.

He could face multiple life sentences if convicted.

Prosecutors say he attacked passengers on Metro buses last month, stabbing several with a screwdriver.

Several victims were treated at hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

There's no word on what motivated the attacks.
