Man, 18, Fatally Shot While Standing Outside East LA Convenience Store

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say an 18-year-old man was fatally shot while standing outside a convenience store in East Los Angeles.

Two others were wounded in the shooting, which unfolded Saturday in the 4100 block of East Caesar Chavez Avenue.

The first victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The two other victims, ages 66 and 19, were struck in the abdomen. Both were transported to a local hospital and were listed in fair condition.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
