Malibu Pier Pilings Wash Ashore Amid High Surf

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Several Malibu pier pilings washed ashore amid strong swells on Friday.

The pieces of the pier, 13 in total, were found near Malibu Road and Webb Way, according to the Los Angeles District superintendent for California State Parks.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Norbert is expected to bring in a swell from New Zealand this weekend with waves topping 7 to 8 feet locally.
