Male Suspect Killed In Long Beach Officer-Involved Shooting

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday were investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting.

Officers were dispatched around 8:10 a.m. to the 2300 block of Eucalyptus Avenue to assist a citizen with a situation involving a runaway juvenile, the Long Beach Police Department said.

During the course of their investigation, an officer fired his weapon and a male suspect was killed at the scene.

The victim and his age have not been released.

No police personnel were injured.

The shooting was under investigation.
