Malaika For Life's 'Buy A Bracelet Save A Life' Program Aims To Fight Malaria

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) Kristen Kenney, creator and founder of Malaika For Life, stopped by KCAL9 Friday to talk about the "Buy A Bracelet Save A Life" program.

Malaika For Life was founded in 2009 by Kenney, a malaria survivor. It is a grassroots, volunteer effort designed to fight malaria in Africa, one bracelet at a time.

Bracelets are handmade by local women in the villages of Tanzania. Kenney says each purchase helps to provide food and healthcare for their families.

Kenney also discussed the film "Tanzania A Journey Within," which documents her journey.
