Big-Rig, Several Cars Collide In Fiery Crash On 210 Freeway In Arcadia

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — A fiery big-rig crash on the 210 Freeway triggered major traffic delays hours after unfolding in Arcadia.

The crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue was reported just after 7 p.m. Monday and prompted the closure of a portion of the freeway in both directions.

The big-rig truck, according to Sky 2's Stu Mundel, blew a tire and went through the center divider of the freeway.

At least one vehicle, along with the big-rig caught fire upon impact.

"There is guardrail damage on both sides of the freeway along with that big-rig," reported Mundel.

No one was killed in the crash, but one person was transported to the hospital for treatment. The extent of that person's injuries was not known.

All lanes were reopened by 2:40 a.m. Tuesday.
