Mailer For Long Beach Mayoral Candidate Depicts San Diego Skyline

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A Long Beach mayoral candidate is saying "everyone makes mistakes" after her campaign mailer wrongly depicted a different waterfront city.

Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal's mailer was sent out Tuesday to voters featuring a waterfront skyline and a caption reading: "Getting things done For Long Beach."

Lowenthal's campaign manager, Mike Shimpock, has accepted responsibility for the mistake, saying the mix-up happened at the printer.

A second, correct version of the mailer will be sent out in the near future, campaign officials said.

Lowenthal is also a former Long Beach City Council member.
