Magnitude-3.4 Earthquake Hits Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — A magnitude-3.4 earthquake struck the Southland Thursday morning.

The tremor hit at 7:01 a.m. about 2 miles northeast of Carson, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Residents in the South Bay and South Los Angeles reported feeling the quake.

The Metro said all rail lines experienced minor delays as officials inspected the tracks and equipment. Service resumed to normal at 7:25 a.m.

There were no reports of damages or injuries.
