Magnitude 3.3 Quake Hits Just North Of Inglewood

WINDSOR HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck in Windsor Hills just after 10 a.m. on Saturday.

USGS sent out an alert shortly after the quake.

Immediate cities in the vicinity of the quake include Baldwin Hills, Inglewood, and Culver City.

Residents reported feeling the shaking in Santa Fe Springs, Hawthorne and Westchester.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials say the city is not in "earthquake mode" as the quake did not meet the required criteria.

The quake occurred at 10:06, and was described by some residents as a "jolt".

The department says there were not reports of damage as a result of the quake.

The epicenter of the earthquake was pinned two miles north of downtown Inglewood and three miles east of Culver City.
