Maeda Will Get NLCS Game 1 Start Vs Cubs, Kershaw Slated For Game 2

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — After a thrilling victory over the Nationals in game 5 of the NLDS, the Dodgers now must quickly shift their focus towards the NLCS and the Chicago Cubs.

The series begins on Saturday, and the Cubs have already listed their probable starters for the first four games.

Friday, manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Kenta Maeda will get the Game 1 start for the Dodgers, with Clayton Kershaw almost certainly getting the ball for Game 2.

The Cubs rotation will be Jon Lester (Game 1), Kyle Hendricks (Game 2), Jake Arrieta (Game 3), and John Lackey (Game 4).

Roberts also said the Dodgers will carry an additional pitcher this series, which most likely means the team will not carry 3 catchers like they did for the NLDS.

NLCS Schedule:

Game 2: Sunday, Oct 16th, 5 p.m. PT, @ Chicago
