Love Triangle May Have Led To Pasadena Stabbings

PASADENA (AP) — Pasadena police say the stabbings of two men outside a supermarket may have resulted from a love triangle.

Sgt. Victor Alaniz says a woman's current and former boyfriends were left with non-life threatening injuries after the confrontation early Tuesday.

Alaniz says the woman and her new boyfriend were confronted in a parking lot by her former boyfriend and a friend of his.

Investigators believe the former boyfriend and friend attacked the new boyfriend, who then stabbed the former boyfriend in self-defense.

Everyone involved is believed to be in their 30s, police said.

The former boyfriend and his friend were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. Their names were not released.
