Norwalk Event Aims To Raise Awareness For Voter Registration

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will host an event Tuesday to raise awareness of voter registration in Norwalk.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 12400 block of Imperial Highway.

The following requirements must be met in order to register to vote:

— You are a U.S. citizen;

— You are a California resident;

— You will be at least 18 years old by the next election; and

— You are not in prison, on parole, serving a state prison sentence for a specific felony, or on post-release community supervision.

Paper applications are available at most government buildings, including DMV offices and libraries.

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 24, which is 15 days before Election Day.
