LAPD officers seek help finding hit-and-run driver who left motorcyclist with severe injuries in March

Los Angeles Police Department officers are seeking help locating a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a motorcyclist in March and left them with severe injuries. 

The crash happened back on March 15 at around 6:50 a.m., when LAPD officers say that an "older-model red Honda Odyssey" that was making a left turn from southbound Normandie Avenue at 48th Street, where they collided with a motorcyclist who was traveling north, according to a news release shared by detectives. 

"As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and struck the roadway," the release said. "The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and identify themselves and render aid as required by law, and fled eastbound 48th Street towards Raymond Avenue."

The victim, who hasn't been publicly identified, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, police said. 

A standing reward of up to $25,000 has been offered to anyone with information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the hit-and-run driver through the Los Angeles Administrative Code's Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund, police said.
