Crews Extinguish Fire At Santa Fe Train Station Building In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Crews Friday extinguished a blaze that erupted at an abandoned location in Long Beach.

The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of California Ave near 27th Street, according to firefighters.

Upon their arrival, authorities located the building fully engulfed in flames.

It took firefighters 25 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

CBS2's Mark Dunn reported the building involved in the fire was a part of the Santa Fe Train Station that had been moved for restoration.

Arson investigators have been called to assist with the investigation.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
