Long Beach Police ID Man Found Shot To Death In Vehicle

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Long Beach police have identified a 27-year-old man found shot to death in a vehicle early Saturday morning near Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.

Miguel Martinez suffered an apparent gunshot injury and was pronounced dead at the scene, Marlene Arrona of the Long Beach Police Department told City News Service.

Officers responded to the scene about 2:40 p.m. after several callers said they heard shots in the vicinity, Arrona said. Martinez is not a member of a gang, and a motive for the crime was unclear. No suspect information is available.
