Long Beach Couple To Conduct 2-Hour Walking Tour Of East Village Arts District

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A Long Beach couple is spreading the love for their favorite Southern California city.

On Saturday, Sam and Linda Dragga will conduct a two-hour walking tour of the East Village Arts District.

The couple moved there about two years ago and fell in love with the art and architecture.

Now they want everyone to know the fascinating facts they've learned about the place.

"It's a historic district with extraordinary architecture. There's public art and there's also a great deal of art on the buildings themselves. It's a beautiful area of Long Beach," Sam said.

"There is tremendous history here that a lot of the local residents are really only vaguely aware of, and there seems to be an increasing interest in learning the history of the city," Linda said.

Visitors will see seven different kinds of architecture in the tour's four-block area.
