Caught On Video: 2 Men Attack Woman, Drag Her For Cell Phone

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two hooded men were caught on security video attacking a 62-year-old woman for her cell phone, dragging her for several feet, and police asked for help Wednesday to identify them.

The robbery happened at about 9:40 p.m. on May 10 in the area of 9th Street and Linden Avenue. The two suspects approached the woman from behind as she was walking.

Security video shows one of the men walked up alongside her, then punched her. When she fell to the ground, the other man dragged her for several feet in the struggle to take her belongings.

Police say the only thing taken was the woman's cell phone.

The suspects – described as men between 20 and 25 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with dark complexions – were last seen running from the area.

The woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
