Long Beach Transit Bus Sideswipes 13 Parked Cars

LONG BEACH (CBSLA) — The driver of a Long Beach Transit bus that sideswiped more than a dozen cars overnight was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence.
About 13 cars were damaged along Pacific Avenue near Anaheim Road, along with the Long Beach Transit bus. Police were called to the scene at about midnight to investigate the damage.
Several side mirrors were knocked off parked cars.
No one besides the driver was on the bus. No injuries were reported.
The driver, 48-year-old John Moreno of Corona, was arrested and booked on suspicion of being under the influence and hit-and-run. He is being held on $30,000 bail.
