Loma Linda Mother Arrested After She Allegedly Left 4-Year-Old Home Alone

LOMA LINDA (CBSLA.com)  —  A Loma Linda mother was arrested Wednesday for allegedly leaving her 4-year-old child home alone.

Deputies received a call around 10:45 a.m. from a resident saying a child -- wearing only pajamas -- was standing outside their residence screaming and crying for about 20 minutes.

The incident occurred in the 10600 block of Poplar Street.

The reporting party stayed with the child for additional 20 minutes until the mother finally arrived home.

The mother -- identified as 30-year-old Erica Rodriguez -- told deputies she left child home alone while she ran some errands.

Rodriguez was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for child cruelty and for multiple outstanding warrants for her arrest.
