'I Could Have Easily Been Killed': 'Lion King' Child Actor Recounts Car Plowing Into His Bedroom

GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA) — It was a close call for a Granada Hills family when a pick-up truck smashed into their home Friday.

The vehicle ran into the bedroom of J.D. McCrary, a young actor now playing Simba in the live-action "Lion King" remake.

J.D. was not in the room at the time.

"It was very scary because usually I'm in my room playing video games on the floor and I could have easily been killed," he said.

The driver reportedly sped off in his pick-up.
