4,100-Acre Lilac Fire In San Diego County 60 Percent Contained

SAN DIEGO (CBSLA) — The Lilac fire in San Diego County was 60 percent contained as of Sunday.

The fire erupted last Thursday along Interstate 15 north of San Diego County, and has destroyed 182 structures.

At its peak, it scorched 4,100 acres, threatening 1,500 structures. The fire also damaged 23 structures.

A total of 1,409 firefighters had been deployed to the firefight.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
