Lightning Strike Possibly To Blame For Bell Power Outage Impacting Thousands

BELL (CBSLA.com) — A lightning strike was possibly to blame for a power outage Thursday night impacting thousands of residents in Bell.

It was reported around 9 p.m.

Southern California Edison says about 7,600 customers were initially affected by the outage.

By 11 p.m., it was down to 3,800 customers, who were still in the dark.

That number kept dropping through the night as crews continued to restore electricity to residents.

There was no word yet on when power would be fully restored.
