Legendary LA Newsman Pete Noyes Dies At 90

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Legendary longtime Los Angeles journalist Pete Noyes has passed away at the age of 90.

Noyes' news career spanned more than six decades and he worked in nearly every newsroom in L.A.

He worked at CBS2 from 1961 to 1972.

He influenced the careers of countless local broadcast journalists and won innumerable awards, including a Peabody.

The cause of death was not disclosed. Noyes was hospitalized in January for about a week for a non-coronavirus related issue.
