Late Actor Paul Walker Honored On What Would Have Been His 42nd Birthday

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —   "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker would have turned 42 on Saturday.

He was honored by his 16-year-old daughter Meadow.

Walker and a friend were killed November 30, 2013 in a single-car crash in Valencia.

On Saturday, Meadow announced the launch of the Paul Walker Foundation.

She said one of the group's goals is to provide scholarships and grants for students interested in careers in marine biology.

Before he became an actor, the Glendale-born Walker was a marine biology major. His daughter also said she and her dad loved spending time in and by the water.

Walker's final "Fast and Furious" film came out in April.  His other credits included "Flags of our Fathers," "Joy Ride," "Varsity Blues" and "Into
