Las Vegas Man Charged With Pimping Woman He Met On Dating Website

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A Las Vegas man was charged Friday with pimping a woman he met on an online dating site, Orange County District Attorney's officials said.

Everett Arnold Walker, 24, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of pimping and pandering.

Prosecutors say Walker met a 26-year-old woman on a dating website and met her for the first time on or about Oct. 1, 2013, when he convinced her to work for him as a prostitute. Walker allegedly posted ads for the woman on a website known for prostitution, offering sex acts with her.

Walker allegedly pimped the woman in both Orange County and Las Vegas by flying her back and forth and arranging prostitution encounters in both areas. Prosecutors say Walker took all the money the woman was paid for sex acts.

According to DA officials, Anaheim police officers made contact with the woman on Jan. 8 and determined she was the victim of pimping by Walker.

Walker is being held on $250,000 bail and faces a maximum sentence of six years in state prison if convicted.
