Large Fire Burns At Recycling Plant In Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) —  A large industrial fire is burning at a recycling plant in Rancho Cucamonga.

The fire, located in the 8800 block of Etiwanda Avenue, is engulfing the plant as firefighters are battling the blaze with heavy water cannons in at least three directions.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said said bales of recycled material "whatever it is," were burning out of control.

The San Bernardino Fire Department was on "attack mode" trying to put as much water into the yard as possible to knock down the flames.

The fire was first reported about 4:10 p.m.

There were no traffic problems attributed to the blaze, he reported.
