LAPD To Conduct Counter-Terrorism Drill In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — If you see SUV-type police vehicles in South Los Angeles with their lights and sirens on, don't be alarmed - it's only a drill.

The LAPD's Metro Division will conduct a counter-terrorism exercise Thursday between 2:30 and 7 p.m. at undisclosed locations throughout South L.A., according to LAPD Officer Aareon Jefferson.

Both the public and media were being notified to help minimize the number of 911 calls, Jefferson said.
