Possibly Armed Man Barricaded In Hancock Park Home Surrenders After Nearly 4 Hours

HANCOCK PARK (CBSLA) — A man who allegedly barricaded himself with a gun Monday night in a Hancock Park home was talked out of the residence by police after nearly four hours.

Officers were initially dispatched to the home in the 300 block of South Orange Drive, near Third Street, at about 7 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Details about what led up to the barricade situation were not immediately disclosed, though LAPD said the surrounding homes had been evacuated.

The man came out of the home and was taken into custody at about 10:45 p.m., according to reports from the scene.
