LAPD Officer Suspended After Resisting Arrest By Ventura County Deputies

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department has been suspended and stripped of his police powers after he resisted arrest.

Ventura County Deputies said 46-year-old Armando Magana attacked his adult son in Camarillo Saturday and was tased after violently resisting arrest.

Deputies also said that Magana was heavily intoxicated at the time.

Ventura County prosecutors have so far not filed charges against the 46-year-old officer.
