LAPD Officer Arrested For Alleged DUI After Crashing Vehicle At Diamond Bar McDonald's

DIAMOND BAR (CBSLA.com) — An off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving drunk and crashing a vehicle into a drive-through McDonald's in Diamond Bar.

The accident took place around 1:15 a.m. at the Brea Canyon Road offramp of the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The unidentified 29-year-old officer was driving a Mazda 3 when he reportedly veered off the roadway and crashed the vehicle into the drive-through area of the restaurant, authorities said.

He suffered moderate injuries, was pulled out of the car by Los Angeles County firefighters and transported to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was later taken into custody.
