LAPD Motorcycle Cop Injured In Accident With Vehicle In Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A Los Angeles motorcycle officer was injured following an accident with a vehicle Friday night.

The officer was up and talking after the crash, but taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The accident happened at about 7:55 p.m. at the intersection of San Pedro and 14th Street downtown.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the accident or the extent of injuries, but police said they took the driver of the car into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
