Armed robbery suspect arrested by LAPD after hours-long pursuit

CBS News Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Police Department was in pursuit of a robbery suspect near Koreatown. Investigators said they connected the car to an alleged robbery that happened earlier this week.

Officers believe the suspect may be armed. During the slow-speed chase, several passengers exited the suspect's car. The driver slowly led the police around the same general area but briefly made a detour to South Los Angeles.

The pursuit continued for roughly two hours until the driver stopped outside of a Pico-Union home. He appeared to throw several items toward the nearby home before surrendering to police near the intersection of W. 18th Street and Burlington Avenue.
