LAPD Hunts Suspect In 74-Year-Old Man's Stabbing Death

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —   The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 74-year-old man.

Police were initially called to a possible suicide Wednesday in the 4900 block of Vineland Avenue around 10:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim unresponsive and not breathing. LA Fire Department paramedics arrived and declared the man dead at the scene.

Upon further investigation, detectives noticed the man had been stabbed multiple times.

The victim's identity is not being released pending notification of his next of kin.
