LAPD: Driver Kills Man With SUV Following Argument In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives said the driver of a SUV intentionally ran over a pedestrian following an argument in South Los Angeles.

The accident happened just after midnight on West 41st Place and Main Street, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

According to investigators, the incident started as an argument between the driver and another man.

The suspect got out of his vehicle and hit the victim with a baseball bat. He then got back into his SUV and intentionally ran over the other man, police said.

The unidentified victim died on the scene from head trauma.

The suspect fled in a dark-colored SUV. No other description was released.
