LAPD Detectives Reunite Man With Bicycle Thanks To Free Registration Site

The bicycle's owner, Daniil Sharou, confirmed with officers that his bicycle had been stolen two days earlier on his birthday.

The LAPD "strongly encourages" bicycle owners to register their bicycles on Bike Index, whether already stolen or not.
