LAPD Chief Beck To Appear Alongside Garcetti On Thursday's 'Ask The Mayor'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — LAPD Chief Charlie Beck will appear Thursday alongside Mayor Eric Garcetti for KNX 1070's "Ask The Mayor" program.

The program will be broadcast live on KNX and CBSLA.com from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Scheduled topics include the mayor's efforts to bring an NFL team back to L.A., the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power's billing scandal and the justification of raises tentatively agreed to for police officers.

The police chief will be asked about the recent fatal shooting of an unarmed man by police on Skid Row, whether new body cameras are probing effective and if footage of that shooting will be made public.

Also on the discussion table, LA's first rise in violent crime in 12 years and whether this will bring about change in police tactics.
