Landing Gear Emergency Reported At LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) -- A mechanical issue was reported on a Virgin Australia flight arriving at Los Angeles International Airport from Brisbane on Sunday.

The incident forced the runway to be cleared at LAX.

The plane did land safely, but one side of the landing gear was seen smoking.

Fire officials were at the scene as a safety precaution.

There were reports of any injuries.
